Pro battery machinery on show
A FULLY CHARGED EVENT

TurfPro editor Laurence Gale writes . . .

Last week I attended one of STIHL’s Fully Charged road shows at Harper Adams where a range of cordless products were being demonstrated to some local customers, end users and a number of Harper Students.

This road show is one of a number of STIHL events that have been recently taking place, with the remaining ones happening this week at:

  • Tuesday 17 October - Bicton College, Devon
  • Wednesday 18 October - Sparsholt College, Winchester
  • Thursday 19 October - Writtle College, Chelmsford

The day started with a presentation by some of the manufacturer’s personnel who gave an insight into the way the company is developing and delivering a complete cordless package of new professional products.

Their company mission statement given on the day was, “We aim to be the market leader in battery products for the professional user, whilst retaining our position as the market leader in petrol tools."

There is no doubt that STIHL have a large range, well over 30 plus battery powered products, that compliment their existing petrol-powered range of tools.

During the day I met up with several end users who use the company’s machinery and were keen to find out more about the range of new products on offer.

These included some National Trust gardeners, local maintenance contractors and some spcialist machinery dealers.  All in all, I found it a most informative road show.
