NEW CEO APPOINTED

Andrew Lazenby has been appointed the new chief executive of BASIS.

Andrew, who is a former CEO of the Royal Agricultural Society of England and Innovation for Agriculture (IFA), has been appointed to grow and develop the charity in new and existing areas.

He will be working to build and sustain BASIS core membership activities while helping to consolidate and drive a range of new digital opportunities.

Andrew said, “This new role is a unique opportunity for me to help grow both the service offering and geographical reach of BASIS and we will be, quite quickly, bringing to market new products and extending our reach into new areas.”

He added, “I have a history of developing and delivering growth for organisations so I’m excited to be involved in such an exciting charity at a pivotal time.”

“There’s a fantastic team in place at BASIS and I very much look forward to working with them and growing the established team.”

William Burgess, Chairman of BASIS Registration Ltd, echoes this sentiment and says he is excited to see where this new appointment takes the charity.

He said, “We’re delighted to appoint Andrew as he brings extensive expertise from his previous CEO roles and his proven track record for leadership in this sector will stand us in good stead.”
