Today we reveal which stories were the 10 most read by our turf professional subscribers throughout 2021.

As ever the stories which earned the most click-throughs by you our professional readers were a mixed bag of editor Laurence Gale's incisive opinion pieces, and news items which stood out as particularly unusual.

So without further ado, in order of ascending popularity, here are the most read stories in TurfPro of 2021.

TurfPro editor, Laurence Gale, wrote a blog saying there was a great buzz at the NEC for SALTEX, with a good balance of new machinery launches and educational activities each day, with one topic dominating the conversation - recruitment.

The Official Controls (Plant Protection Products) Regulations 2020 (the 2020 Regulations) were issued with a policy statement that supplemented existing regulations that governed the sale and use of plant protection products or PPPs.

Organisers of the inaugural Sports & Grounds Expo (SAGE), that took place at The Three Counties Showground, announced that the event would return in 2022.

BIGGA announced the decision to postpone its major exhibition and trade show, which was due to take place in January 2022.

HAYTER LTD CHANGE NAME - 9th August 2021

The manufacturer changed its name to Toro U.K. Limited, with the company's Craig Hoare telling TurfPro that the brand name wouldn't disappear.
